Please note that the Venturedays holiday activity scheme is open to young people aged 8-13 years old as is non-residential. We also have a 13-15 year old group which we run on the occasional day during the holiday. (If your child is 13 you can decide if they prefer the older or younger group).
There is no necessity for your child to be able to swim to take part in water activities but a certain amount of water confidence is advised.
We will provide all specialist activity equipment including wet suits if necessary but please download our suggested kit list below. Please also complete the attached registration and medical forms and return them to the centre.
Activity camps are more than just a kid’s holiday they are about sharing new experiences, making great new friends and building special memories that will last a lifetime, whilst testing your skills across lots of different activities so you’ll never be bored!
Venturedays are fun as well as educational and a great way to pass the summer. From camp craft to survival skills to First Aid and initiative tests, we can guarantee to keep you busy in your summer holiday.
Activity camps are a terrific way for children to have fun, exercise and meet new friends during the school holidays. The Venturedays programmes we run are a superb way to get outdoors and enjoy a vast number of activities.
Our activities are designed to develop children’s social skills and are particularly useful for less confident children and offer the opportunity to play in a fun, safe and sociable environment while parents work, relax or catch up with friends. We like to think we offer parents peace of mind while offering children, a piece of the action!
“Summer camps can be a positive experience if the children are in a controlled and emotionally supportive environment”
Dr Gwyneth Doherty-Sneddon. Child Psychologist at the University of Stirling

Ella said ‘ I think the day was really fun and I can’t wait to do it again, my favourite part was the climbing and cooking our own lunch on the fire. The canoeing and Kayaking was fun too but try not to fall in :)’ .
