If you are looking for a fun day in the great outdoors, then try some off-road cycling in the south downs National Park. Mountain Biking is fun for all of the family and the trails in the National Park can cater for all levels of ability.

PLEASE NOTE THAT UNDER 18’S MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT OUT AND ONTO THE TRAILS IF THEY ARE HIRING A BIKE FROM THE ADUR CENTRE

There is an abundance of fast open trails to facilitate some long interesting excursions, with heart pumping downhills.

OUR HIRE BIKES

All our rental bikes are maintained to the highest standards. We have a mixture of Trek and Giant mountain bikes for hire.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED

We'll provide you with everything you need on your ride. A helmet, a lock, map and a number to call just in case.

HIRING RATES

Bike hire is £50 (inc. VAT) per bike per 24-hour period. Please contact us if you would like to hire a bike for more than a day.

Your responsibility is to treat the bike as if it were yours. We will provide you with a lock and ask that you make sure it is always securely locked up when ‘parking’ the bike.

Extra Small 4’7″ – 5’2″ (up to 157cm)

Small 5’2″ – 5’6″ (157 – 168 cm)

Medium 5’6″ – 5’10” (168 – 178 cm)

INSTRUCTOR LED GROUPS

The Adur Centre offers cycling with Cycling UK Trail Leaders and sessions from a few hours to a day. It is possible for groups to tailor make packages to suit their experience and needs, building upon skills over a period of time. The Adur Centre offers the opportunity for riders both new and experienced to develop their riding with assistance from some of the most professional riders around. Master classes are also available, these sessions can be developed to allow you to gain the most out of your riding. Packages and sessions in trail blazing, or blasting downhill courses, can be fashioned. You won't be disappointed!

BIKE HIRE FAQ’S

Do you deliver and pick-up bikes for hire?

No, pick up and drop off is based out of the Adur Centre. We do have a free car park on-site if you are planning on cycling out from the centre into the South Downs National Park.

What is provided with a hire bike?

We’ll provide you with a helmet, a lock, a map and a number to call in case of problems.

What happens if something goes wrong?

We’ll give you a number you can call if anything goes wrong. If necessary, we’ll come out to repair a bike or to pick you up. A pickup will normally incur a £15 charge.

Can we hire children's bikes?

Yes, but we’ll need at least 48 hours’ notice.

Can you pick us up at the railway station?

No, but Shoreham train station is a short 5-minute walk from the centre.

Can I rent a bike for longer than a day?

Yes, we can rent bikes for any period you like, just contact us for a quote.
